What is Pegasus? |
Pegasus (or “Peggy” for short) is an admin script execution utility for Multi Theft Auto 0.5.
The name Pegasus comes from a creature in Greek mythology and is a winged horse. |
Don’t we already have one of those? |
There is the famous MTA:mA, which also executes admin scripts.
There are several differences between it and Pegasus:-
- MTA:mA runs inside mIRC - Peggy is a standalone Java program
- MTA:mA scripts are writtin in mIRC script - Peggy scripts are written in JavaScript
- MTA:mA will only run on Windows - Peggy will run on any computer with Java 6 Runtime (i.e. Windows/Linux/Mac etc.)
- MTA:mA can output to and take input from an IRC channel - Peggy 1.0 does not have this facility
There are many other differences, but these are the main ones.
Pegasus is not necessarily any better than MTA:mA, just a different slant on admin scripts.

Where can I get Pegasus? |
| Pegasus has not yet been released and is still in development.
Much of the low level development to get it working has been completed,
with only a few advanced features to be implemented such as multiple servers and the Admin+ events. |
